To assist the Team Leader in monitoring the credit robustness of the good lending book in Wholesale Banking and report deteriorating trends and implement agreed measures to arrest the trends and sustain the good book.

1. Implement and monitor controls prescribed for lending relationships to ensure the compliance with the approved terms and conditions of the credit facilities granted.
2. Identify early warning signals appearing in the accounts in the good lending book.
3. Engage with the Relationship Managers in a proactive manner to determine the root cause of the customer’s delinquent loan status.
4. Agree with the Relationship Manager the strategy to restore early delinquent accounts to a satisfactory state of performance.
5. Undertake joint customer visit with the Relationship Manager.
6. Ensure timely updating of progress reports where applicable.
7. Escalate deteriorating trends in the portfolio to the Team Leader in a timely manner.
8. Prepare and submit reports pertaining to any credit risk matters as directed by Team Leader or the Head, Credit Function for action by relevant constituents in the Bank.
9. Assist the Team Leader in evaluating recovery and restructuring strategies for early delinquent accounts [below 90 dpd] and non-performing loans.
10. Analyse and interpret financial statements of lending customers in the portfolio.
11. Any other responsibilities as and when necessary and so directed by the Team Leader.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Banking, Economics, Accounting or any related field.
• Reasonable command of English and Burmese language.
• At least two years working experience in connection with the granting of credit facilities.
• Preferably some experience in debt collection in either the banking industry or in the private sector.
• Basic knowledge of credit risks
• Understanding the basic relationship between the financial statements and the cash flow generation ability of the customer’s business
• Familiar with the different types of collateral and the protection methods of securing the Bank’s interests at all times
