ROLE PURPOSE

Corporate/SME Manager (Credit Risk Analyts) will primarily lead Corporate/SME/Consumer Credit team to allocate the tasks/projects and to monitor the service level agreement (SLA) of analyzing the credit proposals for new and existing clients in accordance of financial performance to alleviate in Financial Risk, and monitoring of repayment capacities and capabilities. In addition, Manager will assist or be responsible in analyzing the credit proposals, in prepearation of interpretation to trend observed from credit risk reporting and suggest enhancement to existing policy, procedures and risk appetite, perform ongoing analysis and complete other duties as assigned.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • This is a key strategic role in the credit risk team accountable for optimizing credit risk of a diversified portfolio of Myanmar’s leading customers who are the banks’ Corporate/SME/consumer customer segments.
  • Primarily accountable for credit risk assessment, decision, or recommendation for Corporate/SME/consumer Banking in line with the banks’ risk appetite, credit policy and banking regulations
  • Partner with product and relationship teams to optimize credit structuring to support customer’s requirements while mitigating key risks.
  • To be able to lead initiative in line with bank strategy and provide recommendation over policy, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Support implementing and managing policy, guidelines, and procedures to enhance business credit decisions, ensure early identification and management of credit stress/concentrations and optimize the risk reward of the portfolio.
  • High profile role required to present and make recommendations Executive Credit Committee (senior bank executives such as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Customer Officer, Chief Risk Officer)
  • Support execution of Yoma Bank’s vision to build a better Myanmar.
  • The successful candidate will be leading Corporate/SME/Consumer Credit team to ensure delivery of work in accordance with SOPs, proactively develops rapport with different business units and be accountable for supporting training and development of more junior credit resources.
  • The candidate is to lead in developing of credit policy for credit card.
  • Perform additional assignments as necessary.

Job Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

Essential 

  • Consistently work on various projects, self-reliantly and achieved required obejectives with limited supervision
  • Ability to work within a team environment, interact with peers and management within the bank as well as with the other departments
  • Ability to communicate effectively by using appropriate presentation skill across the different business units and with the senior management.
  • Strong understanding of 5 Cs, 3 line of defence, key risks and business models in conducting credit analysis
  • Good knowledge in regulatory and compliance requirements

Education & Special Training

Essential

  • University degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics / Engineering or otherwise quantitative field

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience conducting in Analysis/underwriting of commercial and consumer loans
  • Management of credit underwriting experience in credit card is preferable for consumer credit.

Languages

Essential

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills besides strong analytical, problem solving and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in English Presentation and Communication highly desirable
