Job Purpose

This Individual will take responsibility for managing our master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues. To do well in their role individual will need a very fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and a deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and database. Additionally, you should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-driven reports for continued innovation and growth.

Core Responsibilities

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
• Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or in the related field
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
• Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms
• Analytical mind and business acumen
• Have a strong problem-solving aptitude and excellent communication and presentation skills.
