  • Install, tune, design, and maintain database system software and implement database security.
  • Monitor and analyze database performance and ensure effective and efficient utilization of database systems/processes.
  • Responsible for synchronizing and migrating data and database objects between development, quality assurance, and production environments.
  • Protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access.
  • Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance.
  • Designing databases with both front-end and back-end users in mind.
  • write database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary
  • develop, manage and test backup and recovery plans
  • Provide technical leadership on database systems and solutions. Provide individual mentoring and training on databases and tools. Recommend, test, and evaluate new technologies, software tools, and required skill sets; recommend and implement improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
  • At least a minimum 5 years of experience in Database Administration and management Postgres, MSSQL, clustering, mirroring, backup, restore, reporting, logs monitoring, performance analysis, planning design structure, and query.
  • Knowledge in Non-RDBMS will be better, e.g., MongoDB, Elastic search
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
