Job Description

A Great Opportunity for ...

  • Developing accurate, high quality sales forecasts for the individual SKU within assigned products and Developing and publishing key sales forecast accuracy metrics and analysing prior sales forecasts to identify potential sources of forecast error.
  • To challenge new product, promotional and top line forecast information provided by Sales and Marketing or distributor (for export business) to ensure the quality of particularly the longer term forecast.
  • Brand Review: Direct regular reviews of brand strategy, at a macro level, with Senior Marketing and Brand Managers to ascertain the direction the brand is taking within the marketplace, to facilitate effective short and long term business forecasting.
  • Participate and provide inputs in core team of innovation, renovation and promotion projects to ensure that deliverables as described in the project briefing are fulfilled on time and in full
  • Escalate risks to core team and project leader for decision makings.
  • System and Process:
    • Providing demands via system to production centres/supply planning/VAS planning which support requirements for Domestic & Export 3rd Business, and liaise with them in regard of any issues rise from latest demand submission
    • To proactively involved in the (further) development of new or already existing planning processes and systems
  • Monitor and ensure availability of Finished Goods at warehouse and also inventory level to meet the company’s target
  • Monitor excess, aging and obsolete stock and discuss with commercials for solid action plans to minimize write-off.
  • Report low stock, potential OOS (Out of Stock) and OOS to related functions with supporting reasons on a weekly basis
  • Resolve potential shortage by proactively managing inventory levels at warehouses and recommend/facilitate product allocation plans
  • Create transfer orders to move product from one location to another to support sales plan or marketing activity
  • Maintain master data in the system which is related to planning.
  • Propose and initiate process improvement

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain or other related fields
  • Preference to candidates with experience in demand-supply planning, production planning, Master production scheduling and/or capacity planning
  • Experience in FMCG would be a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP APO and/or R3 is an advantage.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel is preferable
  • Possess analytical & problem-solving skills with commercial thinking.
