Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

  • Resolve, repair and install fiber optics systems and ensure that they work properly
  • Examine and replace faulty and old fiber optic cables and also organize scheduled maintenance routines
  • Take care of fiber splicing and rectify fiber optic problem areas
  • Develop sensor indicators and conduct timely inspections to make sure that faulty fiber optic system does not destabilize its performance
  • Execute premises cabling and take care of the underground and underwater cabling requirements
  • Keep track of the signal strength of different devices such as television, telephone to provide adequate performance
  • Must have prior experience with troubleshooting fiber in an Active and PON environment.
  • Must be skilled at working with DWDM and CWDM equipment and testing different wavelengths.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant engineering field, (Master of Engineering degree preferable)
  • 3 to 5 years in similar position and 5 to 8 years in related fields.
  • Fiber splicing competency, working on live and dark fiber.
  • Prior fiber troubleshooting experience with an emphasis on CWDM and DWDM gear.

  • Mechanically sound and able to problem solve issues.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in groups.
  • Proper knowledge of various electronic components and computer operating systems.
  • Proper understanding of cabling various electronic components.
  • Basic knowledge of the operation and application of electrical components and common measurement instruments.
  • Must have hands-on experience to work with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
  • Experiences and proven track record in the related field is essential.
  • Must be willing to travel work extended hours , weekends and holiday
