Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

The role holder is responsible for developing and delivering a cost effective, efficient and well-controlled process management framework and for introducing innovation into the processes and systems of the Value Centre to drive business results, enhance profitability and ensure the effective execution of Trade Finance transactions.  The role holder is also responsible for the development of proper documentation and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to required set terms and conditions required to expedite transaction operations.

  • Leads the Trade Sales team to work with relevant internal stakeholders liaising between Sales, CS, Branches and Ops – reviewing and helping resolve client issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Develop and deliver sales strategy and secure strategic internal support from stakeholders, in conjunction with the Head of Trade Business in order to identify and satisfy customer needs and to achieve revenue and asset growth/asset quality targets.
  • Proactively participate with line management in client calls and relationship meetings and take ownership of the integration of Trade Products and/or service to the Bank’s customers
  • Oversees the development and frequent review of Trade Business performance and encourage the team members and the relevant stakeholders to bring more trade business to the bank.
  • Designs and implements customer centric business processes in line with changing customer expectations and ensure their successful operationalization in all customer facing business systems
  • Proactively manage trade relationships within the portfolio of existing and agreed target clients in order to develop structure and review proposals that meet customer requirements.  Recognize opportunities to develop further income and economic profit, recommending and implementing the appropriate solutions.
  • Visit to other Cities if business needed for business expansion & Marketing Campaign & Customer awareness program along with related internal stakeholders
  • Train and motivate the colleagues to perform to consistently high standards in a team environment in order to provide and maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction as well as in compliance with rules and regulation
  • Provide product information to internal and external customers and respond to trade related inquires. Provide clients and prospects with the most appropriate Trade solutions
  • Prepare Trade Cycle Analysis (TCAs) and provide input to Business Credit Applications (BCA) in conjunction with Relationship Teams, aligned with defined strategy and engage with colleagues in product, sales support and risk as appropriate.
  • Identify Trade product gaps or new Trade product opportunities to support the development of key new Trade products or Services initiatives and more cost-effective delivery channels.
  • Ensure customer treatment and other regulatory requirements are met and are compliant Regulatory policy in order to protect and enhance the bank’s reputation.
  • Develops talent within the team by coaching to achieve the defined goals
  • In addition to the primary responsibilities, the role holder will also be accountable for one of the following portfolios:

Marketing and Customer Service

  • Actively collaborates with the Marketing Function to ensure consistency in branding guidelines, templates and reports to imbue the bank’s corporate identity in all communications
  • Collaborates seamlessly with marketing and e-commerce specialists to build competencies in the use of marketing technologies and social media to encourage repeat business
  • Actively collaborates with the Virtual Branch Function to develop an end-to-end client experience journey, identify satisfaction and sentiment, and capture on-going feedback in order to develop a prolonged, trust-based relationship

Technology

  • Actively collaborates with the Technology and Engineering Function to build competencies in the use of technology to maintain high technical standards and champions the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and agile practices in order to enhance the Value Centre’s ability to anticipate and respond quickly to market and industry demand
  • Ensures that the Value Centre receives the highest standards of technology services and support needed to drive desired business results

Human Resources and Finance

  • Champions the successful implementation of Finance and HR related policies, programs and initiatives within the Value Centre to facilitate the achievement of business plans and objectives Collaborates with the Human Resources Function in identifying the hiring and training needs of the Value Centre to ensure the delivery of appropriate training and the  hiring of-quality talent to support current and future business needs
  • Collaborates with the Finance Function in developing relevant measurable performance metrics for the Value Centre, and proactively tracks performance against the metrics to ensure fiscal control, profitability and financial feasibility of the Value Centre

Job Requirements

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in business management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in financial institutions and in the area of Trade Processing
  • Proven Trade Finance experience in local or foreign bank
  • Experience working in Trading companies would be an added advantage
  • Excellent knowledge in Trade Finance product
  • Able to command in both English and Myanmar
  • Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
  • Able to communicate at all level
