SUMMARY:
The Design Engineer performs Site Designs and drawings, structural design analysis of new or existing Site structures (tower foundations, equipment platforms, equipment shelters/sunshade, solar panel steel frames/structures and their foundations) and prepares formal, written reports regarding foundations, superstructure (equipment slabs/platforms) capacity and any recommendations for modifications required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
➢ Review site working designs and drawings submitted from contractors
➢ Review Soil test reports for green fields and Structural analysis Reports for Roof Tops in relation to the required tower/ Pole-RT planned for construction
➢ Review TSSR reports in relation to the review of site designs and drawings
➢ Certify (Stamp and sign) all necessary designs as may be deemed by OCK especially tower designs and their foundations
➢ Review as-built designs and drawings submitted from the vendors/contractors.
➢ Update As-built drawings in the event that site has had colocations, especially the tower /RT elevation with antennae mounted on tower/ RT pole updated, site layout.
➢ Design generics for site drawings, retaining walls, etc
➢ Manage design documentation and any department required documents
➢ Support the other departments on technical/design and drawings related works
➢ Reviews tower structures and foundations for existing, proposed and reserved future tenant configurations.
➢ Analyzes structural designs using hand-calculations, Structural analysis software and other accepted engineering methods.
➢ Designs reinforcing and extension solutions.
➢ Coordinate timelines and milestones for design and drawings review and evaluation with internal teams and contractors/vendors
➢ Ensures accurate design status reporting through available information tools and systems in order to provide accurate Project delivery schedule.
OTHER:
➢ Act as an Engineering Support Resource to other Departments within the Company.
➢ Other duties as shall be assigned to better individual skills, Career advancement and Organization/Company growth.
