ROLE PURPOSE

The purpose of the DevOps Engineer is to bridge the gap between Application Development and IT Operations. Your focus is on the maintaining and improving the Platform Infrastructure including maintenance, build/deploy/release process. You have a drive to support the organization moving towards automated deployment, Infrastructure as a Service and Continuous Delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recommending alternative approaches to solving complex problems and utilizing new technology to achieve goals.
• Follow technology trends, research and suggest new technologies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Improves collaboration between Scrum Teams and IT Operations.
• Actively supports the organization labs towards Continuous Delivery.
• Coaches the team on howto advance build processes, prepare code for deployment, and helps to write scripts and maintain environment.
• Coordinates e2e delivery process, and manage design implications on the project.
• Aligns team on current state process implementation.
• Finds new & innovative ways of delivery both immediate and longer term.
• Adjusts solutions to current enterprise policies.
• Identifies focus areas with high business impact to incorporate in transformation roadmap.
• Automates daily tasks & processes to increase efficiency.

• BSc in Computer Science or Information Systems, or related work experience.
• Knowledge of MS Azure cloud infrastructure and virtualization.
• DevOps and Automation Tool such as (GitLab, GitHub, Jira), and automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit etc.
• Orchestration and container deployment tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Understanding of developer workflow & comfortable with frequent releases, testing, and deployment.
• Current understanding of best practices regarding relevant cybersecurity measures
