Job Description

Troubleshoots and repairs alternating current electrical systems on generators, automatic transfer switches, generator controls and engine related mechanical failures.
Check routine preventative maintenance, oil and filter changes and inspections on all generator and by-pass pumps
Provide technical guidance and direction to the teams in the allocated Zone for following the standard of the organization
Able to do dismantling, reassembling, rewinding, repairing, and testing of individual mechanical and electrical components and fully assembled units in any required overhauling activity.
Will be required to assemble a detailed report for each job which includes all the specific technical information and findings pertaining to the scope performed.
Work independently, be a problem solver, and work with other electricians to complete tasks in a timely safe manner
Must be able to respond to emergency repairs as needed
Analyzes equipment performance and calibration as required
Collects and evaluates test data to ensure process control and product quality based on specific procedures and processes
Troubleshoots and performs problem isolation on modules and sub-assembly components that are complex in nature
Investigates the root-cause of issues and provides information to related line managers
Availability to work in a rapidly changing environment

Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of generator systems
Graduation from a Technical school is desired to include generators, diesel, power gen, electric power, relay or substation technology
Must have the ability to perform high quality work in a timely and efficient manner
Able to use English in written reporting
Flexible to work overtime and off-shift hours to support company requirements
Able to travel if require to assigned region
