Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

  • Troubleshoots and repairs alternating current electrical systems on generators, automatic transfer switches, generator controls and engine related mechanical failures.
  • Check routine preventative maintenance, oil and filter changes and inspections on all generator and by-pass pumps
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to the teams in the allocated Zone for following the standard of the organization
  • Able to do dismantling, reassembling, rewinding, repairing, and testing of individual mechanical and electrical components and fully assembled units in any required overhauling activity.
  • Will be required to assemble a detailed report for each job which includes all the specific technical information and findings pertaining to the scope performed.
  • Work independently, be a problem solver, and work with other electricians to complete tasks in a timely safe manner
  • Must be able to respond to emergency repairs as needed
  • Analyzes equipment performance and calibration as required
  • Collects and evaluates test data to ensure process control and product quality based on specific procedures and processes
  • Troubleshoots and performs problem isolation on modules and sub-assembly components that are complex in nature
  • Investigates the root-cause of issues and provides information to related line managers
  • Availability to work in a rapidly changing environment

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of generator systems
  • Graduation from a Technical school is desired to include generators, diesel, power gen, electric power, relay or substation technology
  • Must have the ability to perform high quality work in a timely and efficient manner
  • Able to use English in written reporting
  • Flexible to work overtime and off-shift hours to support company requirements
  • Able to travel if require to assigned region
