Responsible for business planning and strategy in managing holistic view of Bank products and services for business customers. Collaborate with product owner VCs for planning and managing the operational and developmental activities of innovative products and solutions that are geared towards client needs and the right financial solutions for their businesses for sustainable growth and contribute to the Bank customer acquisition and retention and revenue growth. The role holder is responsible for customer data analysis and managing the end-to-end new product development, roll-out process & enhancement that provide clients with specialised business banking solutions with the aim of maximizing profits and in alignment with KBZ’s risk policies. The role holder is also responsible for supporting the bank’s strategies and initiatives to provide an effective and engaging digital customer onboarding experience, expand the agent and merchant networks, and drive the usage of mobile and digital applications, in order to achieve economic and social development in Myanmar through nation-wide financial inclusion.
- Leads and effectively executes the Value Centre’s business plans for structuring highly relevant and innovative financial solutions to deepen account adoption and to reach more customers at lower cost, in line with the overall bank’s strategy of driving nation-wide financial inclusion
- Collaborate and work with product owner VCs to design distinctive value creating agendas to develop business banking products, implement product strategy and monitor product performance to ensure delivery of innovative and customised channels and payment schedules to clients with alignment to their needs
- Assesses new opportunities and develops growth strategies to ensure business banking products and solutions meet the needs of existing and prospective clients in order to improve the bank's market share
- Conducts competitive benchmarking of the products and reviews pricing of the products periodically to ensure alignment with industry practices and drive the achievement of profitability targets
- Identifies product and regulatory opportunities and challenges in order to develop forward-looking strategies to ensure business banking products remain competitive, meet the needs of clients, and drive superior business results
- Ensures continuous product improvement through the sourcing of on-going client feedback and identifies future client needs in order to improve KBZ’s competitive status and value proposition
- Manages the new product approval process through collaborations with all relevant stakeholders to ensure an efficient product roll-out process
- Oversees and supports the roll-out of new products and services to ensure the delivery of an exceptional end-to-end product journey for the client
- Participates in the training of sales teams during the launch of new products and solutions to ensure successful knowledge transfer resulting in successful sales and the delivery of distinctive client value
- Work with Government Affairs and Public Policy Function to drive and grow customer base in public sector
- Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensure effective implementation of the bank performance management process
- Develops talent within the team by coaching to achieve the defined goals
- In addition to the primary responsibilities, the role holder will also be accountable for one of the following portfolios:
Marketing and Customer Service
- Actively collaborates with the Marketing Function to ensure consistency in branding guidelines, templates and reports to imbue the bank’s corporate identity in all communications
- Collaborates seamlessly with marketing and e-commerce specialists to build competencies in the use of marketing technologies and social media to encourage repeat business
- Actively collaborates with the Virtual Branch Function to develop an end-to-end client experience journey, identify satisfaction and sentiment, and capture on-going feedback in order to develop a prolonged, trust-based relationship
Technology
- Actively collaborates with the Technology and Engineering Function to build competencies in the use of technology to maintain high technical standards and champions the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and agile practices in order to enhance the Value Centre’s ability to anticipate and respond quickly to market and industry demand
- Ensures that the Value Centre receives the highest standards of technology services and support needed to drive desired business results
Human Resources and Finance
- Champions the successful implementation of Finance and HR related policies, programs and initiatives within the Value Centre to facilitate the achievement of business plans and objectives
- Collaborates with the Human Resources Function in identifying the hiring and training needs of the Value Centre to ensure the delivery of appropriate training and the hiring of-quality talent to support current and future business needs
- Collaborates with the Finance Function in developing relevant measurable performance metrics for the Value Centre, and proactively tracks performance against the metrics to ensure fiscal control, profitability and financial feasibility of the Value Centre
Job Requirements
- University graduate with relevant disciplines;
- 8-10 years of experience in banking product & service development
- Possesses wide-ranging industry experience, uses professional concepts to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
- Independently manage a team, product or processes within a Value Centre
- Technical knowledge & skills with strong business acumen
- Customer-oriented mindset
