On behalf of our Client,  an established construction consultancy, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer (Level-III) to be based at their offices in Yangon, Myanmar.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs duties assigned by MEP Director/Manager/Team Leader, and ensures all duties are undertaken within the required timeframe
• Prepares concept, basic, and detail design drawings in Auto CAD MEP and in Revit MEP ensuring that the design is undertaken in accordance with local codes and international standards
• Undertakes all necessary design calculations and analysis along with schematic diagrams and selects appropriate equipment size
• Liaises with the project architects, other engineering disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients as required
• Undertakes quality assurance checking of drawings and calculations produced by self and that of other team members as directed by Team Leader/Manager
• Ensure that all drawings are reviewed and checked before submission to the Team Leader, and are also checked by the Team Leader prior to an external issue
• Assists the team leader in producing the design specifications, and design reports and finalizing all design calculations as required
• Reviews shop drawings and material submissions from contractor/construction manager
• Follows Company’s design procedures, professional standards/rules
• Liaises with contractors and undertakes site inspection duties as required and undertakes site visits as required
• Performs the duties under the assigned task of the Team Leader within the time frame
• Proposes technical innovations to the Team Leader to improve the design
• Assists the team leader in preparing equipment & material quantity take-off and cost estimate from the design
• Prepares equipment & material-technical schedules and submits to Team Leader for review and validation

Job Requirements

• University Degree in Mechanical, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering

• Be a licensed Mechanical/ Electrical/ Environmental Engineer or be eligible to become a licensed Mechanical/ Electrical. Environmental Engineer

• At least 7 years of experience in an Engineering Consulting Environment

• Previous experience within design teams and on Author’s Supervision duties

• Advanced knowledge of design software in relation to the MEP design including AutoCAD, Lux calculation, and Revit and MS office software such as Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Project & Access

• Site inspection or supervision experience on building construction projects

• Intermediate knowledge of International Building Codes and Design Standards including environmental building standards (LEED and similar)

• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to self-manage billable hours and ability to undertake own work with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy

• Excellent command of the English Language and willing to travel on business trips
