Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the risk appetite reporting to Board Risk Committee and monitor the performance against the risk appetite set by the Board to ensure potential breaches are proactively identified.

  • Prepare progress reports and presentations, update databases and maintain proper records and documentation for monthly risk reporting dashboards. 

  • Perform various analysis on Liquidity Risk to monitor the liquidity profile of the Bank and perform stress testing analyze the Bank’s liquidity strength. 

  • Perform periodic monitoring on the Bank’s liquidity profile, identify the key unusual trends and articulate to the stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of risk assessment through appropriate business analysis and questioning. 

  • Provide well-articulated and commercially balanced risk recommendations. 

  • Identify opportunities to reduce risk or improve process efficiency. 

  • Communicate outputs and advice both verbally and through written reports.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 

 

Preferred 

  • Looking for an opportunity to be a manager in the risk management function of Financial institution. 

Experience 

  • At least 3 years of experience in risk management of Financial Institutions, external audit or a related field. Lesser experience applicants will be considered for Assistant Manager role.

Knowledge & Skills 

  • Sound understanding of key risks of the bank and engage effectively across all 3 lines of defense to improve identification, acceptance, mitigation, and remediation of these risks. 
  • Strong analytical skills and good with numbers. 

  • Intermediate to Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office and PowerBI.

  • A strong work ethic and a hunger for development opportunities 

  • Strong communication and written ability.

Education & Special Training 

  • Bachelor or equivalent degree in maths, statistics, banking & finance or a related area. 

  • Undergraduate with strong knowledge of risk management will be considered.

Languages  

  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication for both Burmese & English.
