Maersk Myanmar is seeking above position for our department of Customer Experience (Execution team).
In this role, candidates will be in charge as key account owner to delivery seamless end-to-end supply chain management and superior customer experience in line with customer’s business ambitions.
Activities will cover all aspects of inland activities relating to transportation, custom clearance and shipping.
This role will need to closely coordinate cross functionally internally (sales/product/procurement/finance etc..) as well as externally (customers/vendors/customs/ports/associations etc..).
Many assumptions underpinning the way supply chain needs are met today need to be challenged.

Key responsibilities
Proactively monitoring and managing the end-to-end shipment process in compliance with all company procedures, ensuring that the cargo is transported as per the transport plan as promised to the customer and/or that the customer is kept informed of relevant deviations whilst proposing new innovative solutions to improve customer supply chains.
Obsessive customer centricity
- Actively build strong relationships with customers and gain in-depth understanding of their business, service needs, business drivers and growth ambitions.
- Continuously improve cooperation and process to the mutual benefit of the customer and Maersk.
- Be fully responsible for customer satisfaction.
Account ownership
- Be the primary point of contact and act as an advocate for the Customers within Maersk.
- Handle customers’ booking enquiry and confirmation.
- Pro-actively execute shipments and manage contingencies through solutions or alternatives.
- Provide structured reporting for daily job execution and reporting to customer.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with customer SOPs, with SOPs kept up-to-date.
- Provide review to customers on service delivery performance and joint volume growth.
Own all operations activities relating to customs clearance.
- Handle full customs clearance process (including upper/port clearance, import/export licence application etc..)
- Apply for tax rebates (eg: Form D, E)
- MACCS system updates
Manage inland transportation across different modes of transport
- Container truck/box and open truck/barge/rail/air
Billing matters
- Timely completion of all billing related tasks for customers and partner vendors.
- Regular updates on profit/loss of all inland jobs under scope.
Transformation
- Constant drive for creative solution design for optimising customer’s logistics flow.
- Improve Maersk internal cross functional processes.
- Monitor and up-skill the service performance of our vendor partners.
- Joint working with relevant external parties to improve Myanmar logistics landscape.
- Keep updated to market developments, customs new regulations, import/export rules etc..
