About the opportunity

The Australia Awards in Myanmar is managed by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and is administered by Scope Global.

  • Position reports to: Team Leader
  • Location: Yangon, Myanmar
  • Contract type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 11 February 2023

Key responsibilities

The Finance and Administration Officer will support the Team Leader, and other Program and Finance personnel, in all aspects of financial and accounting matters as well as office administration, travel arrangements, logistical support and procurement.

Job Requirements

About you

  • A minimum of 2 years prior experience as an accounts officer with commercial organisations.
  • Experience in processing a high volume of transactions with accuracy and speed.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine priorities, manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients and suppliers.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office and accounting software packages.
