Job Description

  • Oversee daily operations of the supermarket/hypermarket
  • Develop growth by implementing business strategies, promotions and marketing plans by cooperating with Supermarket Manager
  • Improve revenue by analyzing accounting and financial data
  • Conduct market survey and competitor’s analysis to forecast the trends, needs of the market, and consumer behaviors
  • Maintain store standards and store image among customers and competitors.
  • Ensure customer’s needs and wants are met by training employees to provide the best customer service and the best shopping experience and atmosphere
  • Deal with building management team, tenants and suppliers and solve complaints
  • Create schedules and follow up regular maintenance of the store including equipment, machineries, fixed assets, and store properties.
  • Make sure the storage area and public areas are clean and safe at all times
  • Cooperate with the marketing department and decorate the store to get customer attention including seasonal events such as water festival, lighting festival, Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year.
  • Minimize and control the wastage, expenses and costs by doing schedules and plans such as electricity, water and miscellaneous.
  • Work closely with the back office to hire, train and evaluate performance and productivity of employees
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports and submit them to the management
  • Deal with government offices for licenses, permits, tax and others
  • Organize Meetings
    • Weekly meeting with section heads and supervisors
    • Weekly, monthly with departments, supermarket manager and tenants
    • Arrange presentation meetings regularly with the management and review, analyze previous data, sales results.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, MBA or other Management Trainings
  • Need to have experience in a leadership role
  • Need to have general knowledge of retail - supermarket or shopping mall and related business functions
  • Need to have accounting and administration knowledge
  • Strong in Negotiations Skills
  • Management/Leadership Skills
  • Communications and Interpersonal Skills
  • Must be organized, attentive to details, proactive
