Determine and set guideline to the buyers on the optimum level of assortments Give advice to buying team during new item selection/presentation Negotiating with major suppliers to get the lowest possible price, higher margin (both front/back end margin – buying income) Set guideline on category management (including planogram) within division Set pricing strategy for division/department Develop Joint Business Plan with major suppliers Set guideline on how to maximize margin mix Work with sister companies, import team and different format buying team to leverage buying power Work closely with store, DC and supplier to optimize the supply chain to shorten inventory days Work with operations and marketing to ensure the implementation/execution of the program Develop new source of revenue/income by creatively looking at the trend and consumer behavior Analyze AC Nielson data to see the opportunity and take necessary action Monitoring KPI progress of each buyer and guide the team to achieve the target Check and approve new item, promotion and price change Monitoring competitors activities and preempt the next move Visit store to see the opportunity to improve merchandising related matters Attend Trade Fair and improve the knowledge Prepare required report for management Develop, train and motivating the team.
• Bachelor Degree.• At least 5 years experience in retail industry(Food)• Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication and problem solving skills• Negotiation skill, Fluent English skill
