Job Description
1. Primarily responsible for managing the branch operations at MIFIDA. Mainly collections, disbursement, delinquency management and savings mobilization.2. Working closely with MIFIDA’s MD and the senior leadership team to develop short-term and long- term growth plan of organization including new products/services and branches3. Lead the performance management of organization with regard to annual and long-term operational goals, budgets/annual plan, and forecasts.4. Conduct field visit/meetings with clients as part of regular supervision to get first-hand information and provide appropriate feedback and recommendation to improve client service5. Manage operational risks by developing mitigation plans and response action plans6. Enhance technology usage in operations as well in credit analysis and loan management7. Attract, develop and retain a talented and motivated regional team of loan officers and managers.8. Develop, improve, and implement credit policy to maintain a healthy portfolio 9. Develop, improve, and implement delinquency management policy to control portfolio at risk10. Identify strategic partners to enhance MIFIDA’s service offerings11. Provide market insights to the management team, including financial trends, investor concerns, competitor actions, and anything that might impact MIFIDA.
12. Assist in public relations and image building of the MIFIDA as a socially responsible business entity that provides essential financial services13. Carrying out other duties and projects as assigned

Job Requirements
- A recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification- At least overall 8 years relevant experience with minimum 3 years of relevant experience as the Head of operation with company-wide responsibilities in a recognized financial institution, preferably in a microfinance institution and/or a finance company.- Substantial and proven experience in functional areas of operations management, human resources management, financial management and sales and marketing.- Self-motivated and possess a strong drive to be challenged and to achieve with a strong willingness to learn- Assertive, proactive, results oriented and able to identify opportunities for positive changes- Excellent people management, influencing and negotiation skills - English and Sinhala proficiency are both required - Willingness to travel and spend significant time on the field
