Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

  • Manage, lead, motivate, support, and develop a team of NPL and Recovery Officials
  • Lead the negotiation with the clients for recovering the bad debt
  • Manage all the problem risk assets in a manner such as to maximize the return to the Bank
  • For each NLP, develop Action/Workout strategies to maximize recoveries for the Bank and implementation of the necessary Action Steps to achieve these strategies
  • Manage re-negotiation of existing credit facilities with customer to strengthen the position of Bank
  • Present to Risk committee, Credit Committee and management on the up-to date progress of recovery efforts
  • Advise Senior Management of the Bank on NPL portfolio progress achieved particularly by completion of Action Plans on regular basis
  • Ensure that all risk assets in the NPL portfolio are correctly credit graded/ classified and are realistically provisioned
  • Take an active part in the recruitment process for the monitoring and recovery team
  • Undertake annual performance appraisal, at year-end, based on achievement of agreed goals from the beginning of the year
  • Manage effective relationship with the Chief Credit Officer and Chief Finance Officer for all reporting requirements
  • Manage all aspects of CBM compliance embezzlement collector
  • Closely working with Branch Manager, Regional Manager and Head of Credit

Job Requirements

  • The applicant should hold a University Degree or equivalent in either of Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics / Statistics.
  • A minimum of three to five years of managerial experience
  • Previous experience gained in either senior Collections or Operational roles over a 2-5-year period
  • High level of integrity and business ethics
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize activities in order to achieve desired results
  • Strong negotiation skills, liaison skills, and be persuasive in nature in order to choose the alternative that is most desirable in resolving delinquencies
  •  Should be aware of the relevant laws and acts
  •  Good command of MS Office Application
