Key responsibility
Summary
• Contribute to the overall success of the organisation by effectively contributing to the review and implementation of finance operational policies, controls and strategies for the company
• Build credibility across the organisation through a hands-on, expertise and a forward-thinking approach to finance operation, systems and controls

Management Finance Operation
• Lead the operations of the finance function
• Manage the settlement of vendors, billers and merchants on daily, weekly and monthly
• Review of banking activities and settlements on daily and weekly
• Ensure adequate working capital for all settlements
• Ensure entries are reconciled with bank balances and ERP financial module on daily, weekly and monthly
• Ensure accrual basis accounting for goods received not invoiced (GRNI)
• Ensure revenue recognition in timely manner
• Manage external and internal stakeholder expectations and collaborate within the team

Process Improvement and Internal Controls:
• Review of operational procedures and processes for effectiveness
• Review process and governance effectiveness for financial module system, workflow integrity and efficiency on needed basis
• Implement and ensure effective internal controls are embedded in operational processes

Job Requirements

Education & Professional Qualifications
Tertiary Education: Bachelors or master’s in finance, Accounting or related studies
Professional Qualifications: CPA or CA qualifications required

Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas
• Verbal/written communication skills and ability to work well under deadlines
• In-depth knowledge of excel spreadsheets
• Experience leading team and dealing with stakeholders to provide timely inputs
• Optimization for effective and efficient process workflow
• Confidence and ability to propose and defend opinions and perspectives in order to influence and achieve financial objectives
• Ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment
