Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

The purpose of the role is to manage the vehicle fleet used for the transport of cash and valuables across the KBZ Bank network.  The incumbent will be responsible for the vehicle fleet – security, maintenance, cost and efficiency; transport fleet staff – training, compliance, and productivity; and for the efficient execution of delivery/collection responsibilities assigned to the fleet including:

  • Commercial cash collections
  • Bank branch cash clearances/deliveries
  • Central Bank deposit transport
  • Intercity shipments.
  • Management of fleet – optimization of fleet and personnel (drivers)
  • Monitor and ensure vehicles in the fleet are well maintain in tiptop condition all the time. Manage and supervise all maintenance and repairs.
  • Inspect and record all maintenance done, make sure money are well spent on quality works and keep historical recordings for fleet management.
  • Manage contracts with providers for fleet – fuel, workshops, service centres, etc
  • Manage the movements and welfare of all drivers. Make sure all drivers clean their assign vehicles both inside and outside, properly dress as KBZ stated and properly trained their manners for customer service.
  • Ensure all safety devices and equipment, security locks, CCTV and GPS system on board the vehicles are well functioning at all time.
  • Ensure all transport related activities are conducted in a safe manner by following all safety rules and considering safety in all aspects of completing assigned tasks.
  • Monitor vehicle usage and fuel consumption, compile monthly report for future fleet management and budget calculations.
  • Collects on ground security information and share with operation teams. Flag any suspicious activities arises that could threaten or endanger the safety of operation and/or negative effects on KBZ’s image.
  • Reviews subordinate(s) work, provides on-going feedback and guidance, and employs problem solving methods and techniques to resolve fleet management issues/problems effectively.
  • Adapts current processes and systems, and implements new approaches to meet current as well as emerging business trends.
  • Communicates and cooperate regularly with subordinates, operation supervisors/managers, and/or peers (Assistant Function Heads).
  • Develop, implement and ensure all staff are aware, properly trained and comply with applicable regulatory, site and business safety procedures.
  • Develop and propose a fleet expenditure budget.
  • Manage fleet costs to the approved budget.

  • Organizational Skill: Coordinate and direct the security operations of KBZ Bank to ensure the safety of lives and property.
  • Tertiary  education – minimum trade certification in automotive engineering and Logistics Management
  • Organizational Skill: Coordinate and direct the security operations of KBZ Bank to ensure the safety of lives and property.
  • Communication Skill: Communicating the security requirements of the Bank to ABMs, VCGMAs and to security personnel regularly.
  • Interpersonal Skill: Able to work with a team of security officers to ensure protection of a property.
  • The role holder is expected to speak and write English fluently - You are a person with leadership skills, eager to grow in an international environment.
  • The role holder is expected to feel comfortable working on different projects at the same time, organized and detail-oriented.
  • The role holder is expected to go to every branch when it is a business requirement.
