Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

  • Providing legal advice and guidance to the bank's management team on a range of legal issues related to the banking industry, such as regulatory compliance, corporate governance, financial transactions, and risk management.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements specific to the banking industry.
  • Managing and supervising a team of attorneys and legal professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing legal documents related to banking operations, such as loan agreements, security agreements, and credit facility agreements.
  • Representing the bank in legal proceedings, such as litigation or arbitration, and managing relationships with external counsel.
  • Collaborating with other departments within the bank, such as risk management, compliance, and operations, to ensure legal issues are appropriately addressed.
  • Monitoring and reporting on legal and regulatory developments in the banking industry that may impact the bank.

  • A law degree with advocate license
  • Relevant experience in a legal leadership role within the banking industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of legal and regulatory issues specific to the banking industry
  • Experience managing legal risks associated with financial transactions, such as lending, credit, and investment activities.
