A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

Give accurate and timely counsel to Company’s and/or Group’s Affiliates executives in a variety of legal areas including, but not limited to, general corporate matters, contracts, labour law, IPR (including management of the registration and renewal of trademarks and other IP rights of the Company and Group’s Affiliates), mergers and acquisitions, international ventures and collaborations, financing transactions, regulatory matters, etc)
Leading corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives by providing senior management and the BOARD with effective advice on Company Strategies and their implementation
Coordinate the collaboration between the legal team and internal and external stakeholders to manage and represent the Company’s and/or the Group’s Affiliates in Myanmar and any other countries courts and ADR venues, to effectively protect the interests of the Company and its Group’s Affiliates
Prepare and implement internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance
Research and evaluate legal risk factors regarding business decisions and operations, while being proactive in seeking answers and solutions
Apply effective management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authorities, etc.) creating relations of trust, while being politically savvy
Draft and amend agreements, contracts and other legal doumnets to ensure the company’s and/or the Group’s affiliates full legal rights
Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders, and cope with competing demands while prioritizing, when necessary
Provide expert advice on legal language and specifications to others in the Company, and its affiliated companies, while showing deisiveness, sound judgement and common sense
Conduct work with a high level of integrity and responsibility
Maintain current knowledge of changes in relevant legislation and regulations

Job Requirements

Degree from accredited, top-tier law school
Proven general counselling experience in business environment
Over 4+ years of practice with an established law firm
Solid experience with corporate goernmenace issues and corporate secretarial duties
Proficient legal experience in fund investments, venture capital finance and M&A
