We are looking for a Head of Sales to manage our Sales & Travel Consultancy Department

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor guest relations from enquiry through to sale, tour and follow-up post-tour.
  • Liaise with and support Senior Travel Consultant
  • Customer Service
  • Communicate with clients (in circumstances when a manager is required)
  • Meet VIP guests
  • Monitor complaints and feedback
  • Deputize for the CEO

Secondary
• B2B: Management & Outreach

• Directly manage B2B accounts
• Represent Sampan at trade shows and pitching to travel agents in foreign countries
• Product Development

• Carry out inspection trips (for hotels, destinations, products etc.)
• Generate new and innovative product ideas
• Train junior members of the team

Job Requirements

Required:
• Fluency in written and spoken Burmese & English
• Proven experience in Sales within the tourism industry, either abroad or with an international corporation
• Experience in creating, calculating and managing bespoke itineraries around Myanmar
• Experience in managing Group Tours and dealing with overseas Travel Agents (B2B).
Preferred:
• Professional experience abroad
• An awareness of sustainable tourism
