Job Description

An Excellent Opportunity for ...

  • Lead the implementation of the full HR operations in accordance with EAC Group’s HR policies.  The scope involves mainly business partnering, recruitment & onboarding, rewards management (including payroll administration), staff movements/changes (ie. promotions, transfers, departures), training & development, industrial & employee's relations, HRIS data maintenance & systems updates, time & attendance, succession planning, talent review, performance management & appraisal, discipline management, leave management, staff welfare, employer branding and general administration.
  • Comply with all Government & labour laws and Group HR policies & procedures.  Where there is a need to vary due to Business need, to advise the Group HR Director for approval.  Depending on case to case basis, CEO’s approval may be required.
  • Implement the Graduate Development and Internship Programme, which feeds into the permanent workforce
  • Provide advice, guidance on HR policies, practices and relevant employment law to the MD, Business Management Committee (ManCom) and line managers/ supervisors/employees as required.
  • Assess the headcount requirement and ensure compliance to the approved manpower
  • Comply with the HR Delegation of Authority (DOA) and consult the Group HR Director for clarification if unclear
  • Assess the Business performance on a quarterly basis and check the adequacy of the headcount and capability to act on before forwarding to the Group HR Director the proposal for discussion with the MD and/or respective HOD.
  • Advise the MD and respective HODs of any potential people issues that will affect the work environment and welfare of staff.
  • Perform budgeting for Group HR Director’s review and approval.  Monitor and work within the limit.  Where there is a need to increase the budget, to alert the Group HR Director for review and CEO’s approval.
  • Check for people related expenses not paid and advise Finance to make accruals and ensure these expenses are captured to less off the accruals later.
  • Provide BU people data to Group HR as required
  • Participate in projects as assigned, from HR or Business
  • Develop and coach team, and identify training needs and ensure plans are implemented.
  • Provide close engagement with staff of all levels
  • Involve in staff welfare activities, including the Social Club.

At least 5 years HR managerial generalist experience, preferably from a manufacturing and/or FMCG industry.
