We are currently looking for a Human Resources Manager with excellent knowledge and skills around the people agenda to work in a an emerging food and beverage company in Yangon. 

 

ROLE’S OBJECTIVE:

The purpose of the role is to provide advice and support to Director on people issues ensuring consistency is applied at all times and that all decisions taken are in line with legislation alongside agreed policies and procedures. Act as a point of contact for all general day to day HR issues relating to the site. All work requires the need for a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to work to their optimum in a demanding environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Recruiting:
    • Approving job descriptions and advertisements
    • Interviewing and selecting candidates
    • Negotiating salaries, contracts and working conditions
    • Managing onboarding process
  2. People management:
    • Monitoring staff attendance and managing leave
    • Pensions and benefits administration
    • Looking after the health, safety and welfare of all employees
    • Advising line managers and other employees on employment policies and procedures
  3. People performance and development:
    • Organising staff training sessions and activities as requested
    • Managing employees’ professional training
  4. HR administration:
    • Maintaining personnel files and standard HR letters and correspondence
    • Updating and re-writing policies
    • Following Labor compliance rules, including applying for work permit, foreign employee quota, in / out declaration
    • Managing employees’ medical claims
  5. Carry out any other tasks as may be reasonably be request

    Job Requirements

    PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

    • University graduate with at least 3 years + experience in a similar role working for an International company.
    • Strong literacy, numeracy skills and attention to detail
    • Effective IT skills.
    • Experience of dealing with HR/people issues (disciplines, grievances, performance management etc).
    • Able to multi-task and prioritise own workload in line with the needs of the department.
    • Excellent knowledge of Burmese employment law
    • Fluent in Burmese and English
