Position

We are seeking an outstanding and dynamic HRBP to serve as a key support member to the ASH corporate group, and reporting to the CHRO. The candidate can look forward to a wide and varied set of responsibilities, including:

Key Areas of Responsibility:

1. HR initiatives

  • Support implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Act as a Human Resources Business Partner with all functional heads, ensuring service delivery and alignment to company processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Challenge the organizational structure of the internal client and propose changes where needed.
  • Contribute to and support the implementation of the Human Resources strategy, working closely with the Group CHRO & CFO.
  • Contribute towards & implement HR policies such as the Employee Internal Regulation, Employee Handbook, attendance and leave, remuneration and benefits, ensuring that all staff are aware of and have access to these policies through microsoft teams.
  • Preparation and monitoring of annual HR budget and manpower plan

2. HR operations

  • Collaborate with respective HR functions to ensure delivery of services related to full employees’ life cycle: TA, C&B, HR – Admin, L&D.
  • Lead, implement and execute human resources processes such as promotion, transfer, performance, review, and termination procedures.
  • In collaboration with the C&B function, provide inputs into payroll (starters, leavers, adjustments etc), ensuring data is accurate prior to calculation each month.
  • Manage the payroll of multinational expats and compliances of law and legal issues for expatriates’ personal income tax, SSB and such as permits, visa and FRC
  • Monitor and support the benefits and allowance management
  • Support and enhance the on-boarding and off-boarding processes of recruitment and exit interviews. Deliver HR Induction for new starters.
  • To be the main contact point between BU's employees and HR-Admin function for all matter related to HR – Admin of the business unit like manage office supplies and travel arrangements for employees and report on monthly costs.
  • To be the main contact point between BU's employees and IT department to prepare the necessary equipment for work.

3. Engagement Activities and HR teamwork:

  • Cooperate with related departments to plan & execute Engagement Activities
  • Proactively join in every Company and BU’s event to lead by example and coordinate any events organized by HR Department.
  • Share teamwork and other projects as assigned
  • Build a strong business relationship with stakeholders. Act as a single contact point for brand office teams.
  • Share and transfer best practices from different functions in the organization.

4. Performance management & Talent management

  • Ensuring to work with Hiring managers to develop JDs, contribute opinion about HR insights about the JD, salary bandings and market benchmark for the position.
  • Proactively cooperate & participate in talent management & succession planning, including identification of talent, tracking development activities to ensure sufficient workforce pool for future and sustainability.
  • Advise line manager in managing poor performers and ill-disciplined employees.
  • Act as the performance improvement driver. Facilitates discussions with the management team to find the best solutions.
  • Identify key talents and work with Line Manager for career development plan/career roadmap/successor plan.

5. HR Reporting, Compliance

  • Update and report on the team budget, providing insights into demand, effectiveness & cost.
  • Provide monthly dashboard report to CFO, and Group CHRO on HR metrics such as personnel cost (overall and per function), recruitment activity, attrition, leave reporting, and other reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations regarding registration of employment contracts and termination as required.
  • Oversee and in partnership of C&B to ensure personal income tax reports are delivered accurately on time to the Tax department.

Job Requirements

Required Know-how and Competencies:

  • Above 6 years of minimum relevant experience in all HR functions or similar role
  • At least 2/3 years of supervisor experience
  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree and Business Administration and academic background in Human Resources.
  • Good knowledge of Myanmar Labor Law, especially for foreign employees.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; advanced English (spoken & written) mandatory.
  • Strong and proven analytical skills;
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and time management skills;
  • Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft office and outlook and Microsoft teams
  • Honest, creative, and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure and comply with tight schedules 
  • Good working attitude
