Job Description

To take responsibility for departmental decisions made by management team and make proper feed back to the implementation status of operation plan.
To develop and maintain effective communication within the department and collaborate with other departments in the hospital.
To take responsibility to run RIS/PACS smoothly and to ensure the RIS/PACS administration is managed effectively.
To organize CME events and maintain strong working relationships with all Consultant Radiologists and to effect a non-restrictive practice for radiology service.
To maintain satisfactory and safe performance of all diagnostic imaging equipment.
To provide training, coaching and overviewing to Senior and Junior Imaging Technologists indentifying additional development opportunities as appropriate.
Responsible for quality standards, professional, legislative and hospital policy compliance ensuring patient safety.
To ensure quality assurance is regularly performed in all clinical areas and documented for audit purposes.
To carry out regular appraisals and align education and professional development activities with the objectives of the department and organization.
To ensure improvement of workflow in both imaging front office and operation areas.
To investigate complaints in a timely and efficient mannger, implementing service improvement plans when required.
Responsible for job assignment according to operational requirement.
To remain up to date with current clinical practices within own profession.
To ensure that Radiation Protection Responsibilities are conducted as described in the local radiation protection rules and regulations.
Developing, implemeting and maintaining policies and procedures.
Administrative oversight
Maintain any necessary quality control program
Recommending outside sources of Imaging Services and monitoring and reviewing all Imaging services.
