This position is responsible to provide the maintenance support for the assigned duties in Electrical/Automation installations at the Port. 

A key role is to ensure the highest level of maintenance, readiness and repair and to maintain the operational viability of all equipment in order to provide excellent customer service to the lines calling at the Port.

  Provide reliable Engineering services to the Operations Dept, thereby ensuring directly/ indirectly that the following equipment is in a state of readiness at all times:

1. 1. STS / Liebherr Cranes
   2. RTG Cranes / Truck Loading Hoppers
   3. Conveyor and accessories like mobile hoppers, etc.
   4. Weighbridges
   5. 11 KV / 6.6 KV switch yard, Compact Substation.
   6. PLC, SCADA, Drives

Responsible for the planned maintenance, breakdown maintenance of equipment as per reporting officer’s direction, and thereby ensuring that productivity and efficiency standards are met in support of container terminal and the General Cargo Terminal.

Fault finding, troubleshooting and modifications as and when required for proper and safe functioning of all Workshop/quay supporting equipment and systems.

Provide reliable service to Operations Department, ensuring the required equipment availability and reliability

Ensure safety, health and environmental working conditions are followed at all times. Precautions w.r.t. work in Electrical/Mechanical/Automation installations, particularly moving parts and HT installations, are to be strictly adhered to.

Ensure all incidents, accidents and occurrences are properly investigated, recorded, reported and correctly attended. Develop and implement preventive measures in coordination with the concerned department.
