EFD Group is looking for a skilled professional IT specialist with experience in project management. The IT Project Manager (PM) oversees different initiatives and IT projects, monitors their progress and completion, and ensures that they meet the expectations of the stakeholders. The PM must set measurable goals that define the overall project’s objective, the project boundaries and scope for the project.

The PM is responsible for providing project planning and management for established initiatives within the company and ensures that projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget. The PM needs to works closely with analysts, software engineers, vendors and senior management across the organization and communicate the goals of the project.

Duties/Responsibilities - Outline the duties and responsibilities of the position

• Determine and define project scope and objectives
• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
• Track project costs in order to meet budget
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
• Analyzes the performance of the main competitors and recognized efficient companies, and make recommendations
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
• Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
• Develops spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• This position needs to work overtime because it includes set up many IT functions and system installations

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be advantaged
• 5-10 years of project management and related experience in various industries such as Micro Finance, Banking, Telecommunications 
• Technology background will be advantaged such as Information Security, Core Financial Applications, Networking, Systems Implementation/Integration/Testing/Delivering
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively and strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Strong reporting skill and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
• Good verbal and written communication in both Myanmar and English
