To assist manager to achieve the departmental target.
To keep and restore the guest’s laundry, Linen and staff uniforms to the best possible standard.
Act in a pleasant, cheerful and courteous way and alert at all times. Follow up the telephone courtesy.
Has a good understanding of people, genuine interest in housekeeping service and thorough knowledge of guest facilities.
To check daily collection and delivery of linen with laundry.
To ensure that sorting of linen and uniform and follow up this issuing and receiving of linen and uniform procedure,
To control and check iron, board and adapter stock.
To check linen/laundry staff mending, sewing and marking linen and to brief staff, to take care of sewing machine and to check the ability and performance.
To record damage linen list and to do linen inventory monthly as schedule is set.
To ensure that enough linen on function day and to cooperate with F&B about linens (T/S, Napkin).
To ensure that cleaning of linen store room.
To ensure that all linen are cleaned.
To brief the staff, make sure get a soil linen issuing uniform and get a sign.
To check daily collection of guest laundry by valet and check the laundry list on: room no., type of service, special instructions etc.
To check punctually garment for: uneven or losses hems, missing or damage buttons and trimmings, color change or loss, rips and tears/ spots and stains etc.
To count and list the garments individually, taking note of the color and fabric and whatever other distinguishing factors.
To inspect the garments before returning them to the guest – all items are counted/ check for possible errors/ be sure garments are not over crowed in the bag of hanger.
To perform the other duties assigned by Management.
To HODs or assistant HOD for taking care of guest laundry, linen and staff uniforms.
To liaison with Restaurant for restaurant lien issuing and laundry.
To control staff from all levels for uniform in and out.
To assist. Supervisor to liaison with Finance for monthly inventory checking.
To organize efficient work schedules
Good communication skills
To work under pressure and stay calm in difficult situations.
Linen Supervisor may be required to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
