Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services

  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle

  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers

  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency

  • Arrange warehouse, catalo goods, plan routes and process shipments

  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints

  • Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforceMeet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets

  • · Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements

    Plan shipping of consignments and book vessels accordingly
  • Develop Team Leaders, and ensure their focus on developing their direct reports, as part of an ongoing talent management and succession strategy
  • Ensure charge recovery and dispute management are prioritized
  • Produce Ad Hoc reporting and investigation for Senior Management
  • Develop close links with Head Office, Overseas Agencies, Suppliers and Customers
  • Develop inter-departmental communication and work with Senior Management team
  • Attend regular off site meetings with customers for service review, and new customer integration
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of internal systems & services, as well as legislation & maritime regulations
  • Effectively communicate change and business updates to the organization
  • Ensure department achieves recognized levels of productivity as related to operational functions and meets customer satisfaction
  • Regular review of process and procedures and implementation of improvement strategies;
  • Ensure operations are run within KPI parameters and develop/maintain relevant key performance indicator reporting tools
  • Provide advice on processes and procedures in relation to export compliance;
  • Liaison with external shipping companies and freight forwarders
  • Ensure all documentation complies with current legislation.
  • Managing the company’s shipping operations, including scheduling appointments with shipping companies and filing customs paperwork
  • Managing inventory by monitoring the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse to ensure that they are properly stored and accounted for
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers of raw materials or manufacturers who use the company’s products
  • Negotiating contracts with customers regarding prices, product quality, and delivery times
  • Monitoring market trends to determine which products will be in demand in the future
  • Monitoring industry regulations and compliance issues related to importing and exporting goods
  • Meeting regularly with suppliers or customers to establish new business relationships or maintain existing ones
  • Conducting audits of suppliers or business partners to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Reporting to Commercial - GM

Job Requirements

  • Minimum associate degree, preferably bachelor’s degree
  • at least 5 years of management experience
  • Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager in manufacturing or related industry
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Should be able to take pressure
  • Great communication skills, Critical thinking abilities and Problem solving skills
  • Should not mind making several follow ups for shipments and vessel booking
