Key Responsibilities

• Manage logistics operations in Trade Finance for export/import, Customs Clearance at ports and Trucking business engaging government agencies, customers and service providers.

• Provide Guidance on pre and post shipment services.

• Liaise with Government Agencies (Port Authority, Customs) to manage our shipment services.

• Implement best industry practices to improve operational performance.

• Deliver OTIFNE results within set KPIs.

• Manage operational expenses within budget.

• Develop suppliers /service providers and monitor their service quality against performance criteria.

• Ensure suppliers and service providers are compliant with quality and safety guidelines during delivery and transit.

• Optimize logistics processes using SAP/WMS interface to promote consistent practices.

• Optimize logistics processes such as mode of transport, routing, shipping and product volumes.

• Identify bottlenecks and drive initiatives to improve overall customer experience.

• Provide meaningful insights on operational excellence and service quality through various metrics and reports.

• Collaborate with other departments (Customer Service, Border Trade, Finance etc) to deliver results in a timely manner.

• Develop a high performing team that delivers results, added values and continuous improvements.

• Train and coach the team and provide objective feedback to improve performance.

• Build up and maintain a professional relationship with all internal and external customers, suppliers and stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with trade, port and customs regulations as well as Health and Safety and Environmental legislations.

Skills and Qualifications

• A university degree holder from a recognized university (with a certification in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management a plus).

• Minimum 5 year experience as logistics manager role in 3PL Logistics or in FMCG industry.

• Well versed in export/import customs clearance of goods at port and border, trade financing and trucking/hauling cargos.

• Detailed oriented, excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.

• Proficient with SAP systems.

• Possess business acumen in terms of business cost, operational schedules and customer order fulfilment.

• Proven analytical and interpersonal skills.
