Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

Responsible for Controls and Monitoring function to ensure that Yoma Bank remains compliant and functions within laws and regulations
Collaboration with team and all business units, and provide support in creation of new controls/ control enhancement projects
Develop and coordinate for compliance monitoring measures and plans
Create the content of training for control management
Provide input in implementing controls and monitor programs in line with bank’s operational and compliance risk frameworks ensuring appropriate oversight and escalation to the line manager
Provide input and assist in performing compliance risk assessment on all changes of regulations, policies, procedures, and projects ensuring that they are fully embedded within the front line (Including the 1st LoD Process & Control Team) and it can be part of the BAU processes and activities.
Participate in all major regulatory projects that have a business impact
Responsible to provide recommendation on improvement measures based on the monitoring results on the performance of the bank internal control systems to specify the areas for improvement
Assist Senior Manager-Controls and Monitoring with projects and priorities as requires

Job Requirements

Minimum education requirement; Bachelor’s in Business (Finance/Accounting/Economics/other qualification fields)
Ability to lead, develop and motivate employees and creating productive and positive team atmospheres
Minimum 3 to 5 years of knowledge and experience in banking or other financial services organizations within a regulated environment and relevant specialist knowledge in compliance
Excellent leadership skill with proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate others
Experience in internal control and risk management and knowledge of regulations including KYC/AML/CFT
Analytical and organizational time management skill; forward thinking and future state oriented
Ability to develop strong relationship with all the internal stakeholders including the business units
Design and implement controls and monitoring programs for the fulfilment of the AML, CTF and other requirements
Assist to set targets and objectives for control department
Excellent organizational skills and results orientation
Assist to create comprehensive and accurate reports on findings that can be understood by all levels from operational to strategic including the board
Experience in leading teams in a specialized compliance function
Sound knowledge of lending in the Myanmar market, focussing on retail/consumer lending
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Fluent English skills
