Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare draft documents and legal advice under supervision of the senior members of the legal team
  • Conduct legal research
  • Support team business development work, by providing support in producing drafts of marketing materials, proposals, legal updates, articles and presentations.
  • Assist team in development of know how documents and standard forms.
  • Dealing with exclusively Chinese clientele.

Job Requirements

  • Lawyer fully qualified in Myanmar, with 1 – 3 years of professional experience, fluent in English.
  • Chinese language skills required
  • Preferable to have prior work experience in an advisory firm or in-house on cross-border transactions
  • Experience in liaising with government authorities on preparing and submitting applications, obtaining feedback and similar matters.
  • Good knowledge of Myanmar laws in the following areas: corporate, foreign investments, cross-border loans and security, land and energy sector regulations.
