Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

  • Deliver on KPIs relating to brand health and equity, for the purpose of driving sales growth and brands’ share targets 
  • Lead co-development of the Category Vision, architecture, and long-term growth strategy
  • Develop and coordinate annual category plans, leading excellent cross functional interactions to drive execution on the ground.
  •  Analyze consumer insight and competitor movements to help define growth platforms for innovation and category development
  • Drive an Integrated Marketing Communication Plan for the Category with key Agency partners, and ensure consistency and cohesiveness of relevant materials in line with the Brand VIS for multi-channel use
  • Actively contributing and transforming knowledge and insights into the strategy and ensuring strategies support the category growth ambition including liaising with the Knowledge and Insights Manager 
  • Brief and progress innovation projects cross-functionally in line with the overall Category ambition, spearheading buy-in within the S&OP and Stages Gates
  • Co-management of the monthly performance meetings of the Category with the Trade/Channel Marketing Manager in order to operationalize current plans and plan within a rolling F3/R6 horizon. 
  • Manage Marketing interface for S&OP
  • Brand budget planning, monitoring, and management for the relevant portfolio 
  • Manage key relations with ATL, Digital, and Event agencies, and key internal stakeholders 
  • Coach and develop a Brand Manager or an Assistant Brand Manager

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a managerial role in Marketing and/or Trade Marketing for FMCG products in an emerging economy
  • In-depth knowledge about relevant Brand subject areas and commercial experience in at least two Brands with focus on: portfolio development, communication & promotions planning, in-market execution
  • Relevant experience of at least 18 months in category thinking and strategic planning
  • Cross functional experience in trade marketing and sales will be favourable
  • Fluent in English
