Job Description

  • Overall responsible for all Medical/Health Services and Occupational Health for Sembcorp Myingyan Power Plant and this position will direct report to Plant HSSE Manager.
  • Diagnosis and treatment illness for company staff
  • Identification of notifiable diseases (if any) as per Local Authority requirement
  • Ensure good standard of medical care - preventive, curative and promotive.
  • Address medical problems of the employee as well as any industrial health related problems (i.e. monitoring hazards, use of PPE, biological monitoring, etc.)
  • Maintain & regular inspection on plant medical facilities (i.e. Clinic accessories, First Aid Box & AED)
  • Take part of Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) to provide medical service to resuscitate or stabilize patients and refer them to the appropriate medical services.
  • Ensure Emergency Preparedness & Response Treatment, Optimize the Plant Medical ERP and lead first aid team, plan medical drills
  • Liaise with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) officer to provide medical service & health awareness to affected communities.
  • Pre-employment and periodical Medical Examinations for employees and contractors at site
  • Certifying fitness for duty resumption after leave for medical reasons
  • Promoting Occupational Health and Hygiene in workplace.
  • Biomedical waste disposal and record maintenance
  • Maintain adequate medicine stock
  • Keep a good relationship with local relevant Government agency and hospitals
  • Maintain and secure medical records of care and services.
  • During the period when you are not regularly working, you shall be on call duty

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Medicine.
  • 5 years' experience in occupational health management in Power Plant or similar industry.
  • Perform a time-efficient assessment of the situation
  • Prioritize and perform critical interventions
  • Possess effective decision making skills
  • Have good communication skills
  • Fluent in English is an advantage
