Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain operational risk management policies, guidelines and procedures
• Assist in the oversight of operational Service Level Agreements (SLA) to ensure compliance  
• Develop and maintain centralized reporting and system for operational risks and prepare the operational risk reports for management and other stakeholders.
• Monitoring the key risk indicators and operational risk appetite and work with relevant stakeholders to address the issues in timely manner  
• Assist in the preparation for annual insurance renewals exercise that includes working with external and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with business units to ensure effective management of operational risks and adherence to the operational risk management framework
• Develop and deliver training programs related to operational risk management and governance to improve overall awareness and understanding across the bank

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Knowledge & Skills

• A sound knowledge of banking in the Myanmar market, gained through practical experience
• Have good organizational skills and time management abilities
• Adapts easily to new environment and can work with a variety of stakeholders
• Excellent team worker, collaborating effectively across divisions
• Organized, with good attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
• Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and E-mail and be able to type fluently in Burmese and English
• Must be able to negotiate and communicate with different stakeholders

Education & Special Training

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field
• Knowledge in data analysis and risk management

Experience

• At least 1-year experience in banking industry (Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply)
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to operational risk management is a plus

Languages

• Sound and effective interpersonal & communication skills
