Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

  • To maintain payroll information by designing systems; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data
  • To update payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job titles, and department / division transfers
  • To pay employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts
  • To prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
  • To determine payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments
  • To balance the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies
  • To provide payroll information by answering questions and requests
  • To monitor key HR metrics
  • To maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures
  • To comply with local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • To maintain employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • To maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • To complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
  • To maintain payroll staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • To deal with SBB , Labour office & Income Tax Office
  • To perform other tasks assigned by superior

Job Requirements

  • 4 to 5 years experienced in related field especially in Hospitality industry with Master or Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or SHRM, HR Diploma related field
  • Solid knowledge of pay rules, regulations, and payroll fundamentals including payroll tax, reporting, balancing, pay policies, garnishments and payroll best practices
  • Highly skilled with spreadsheets, relational databases, and various reporting software applications
  • Some experience in benefits and immigration
  • Great attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Computer savvy with working knowledge of relevant software
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
