Job Description

Assist Government Relations Manager in establishing and maintaining good working relations with communities and government authorities
• To conduct public consultations, appointment meetings, discussions for initial, operation periods, final and individual public meetings with local authorities and land/ local forestry owners before/ after the project activities in proposed areas
• Maintaining accurate and up to date records in line with all of permit approvals (travel permits in immigration, explosives usage in transportation, environmental awareness, forestry permits, road repairs work, negotiations for temporary land rental-jetty areas-temporary road access, security request in operation activities
• To assist in coordination of permits working as part of a team to resolve any conflicts, refusals or directions or variation request which must be acted on immediately by updating the permit as required.
• To communicate consistently and effectively with local communities regarding permit refusals, permit directions and variations.
• To build and maintain good relationships with all local authorities to be safe and smooth operation activities in proposed areas
• Prepare and check the compensation price calculation by the company permitting procedure and apply it consistently to all affected communities and groups. Commitment to ensure a timely compensation
• Cooperate with local authorities for the arrangement of compensation payment ceremonies and CSR ceremonies in proposed areas
• Monitor and supervise the subcontractors to follow up permitting procedure and liaise with local communities to be smooth operation
• To make sure any restoration activities after completion of projects to avoid any complaints from local people in further
• Other duties under the direction of the Manager

Job Requirements

Any Graduate or equivalent knowledge, skills, ability and experience.
Proficient in English language oral and written communications.
Strong administrative abilities (record all conversations, engagement,
documents, meetings, notes, etc.)
Competent in the use of MS Office Applications.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferably have experience working as a Government Relation and permitting
coordination
