Job Summary:

 

Preschool / Primary /Subject teachers are responsible for maximizing the academic progress of the students they teach, working with colleagues to participate fully in the development of the school. Preschool / Primary /Subject teachers promote a positive, purposeful, and professional working atmosphere that encourages cooperation and challenge, whilst valuing the contribution that individuals make to the success of the school. She/He should be able to provide professional expertise, and high-quality teaching, make effective use of resources and ensure to improve the standards of the individual’s learning environment and achievements.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure be familiar with and understand the Academic Integrity policy, the assessment, and all other related policies.
  • Be aligned with the school’s vision, mission, and Philosophy.
  • Be an effective, compassionate, and caring teacher who is responsible for the planning, teaching, learning, and student assessment in the class and the school.
  • Raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the whole subject/curriculum area and monitor and support student progress.
  • Access, provide feedback, and report on student learning and progress.
  • Utilize the varieties of different teaching styles for each student if requires.
  • Facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  • Develop a quality learning program, be supportive, discipline and create safe learning environments including student behaviors.
  • Engage professionally in teaching and interactions with students, leadership team, colleagues, and parents. e flexible in hybrid teaching and learning environment.
  • Encourage the students to participate in school-related activities occasionally.
  • Attend parent-teacher meetings and able to arrange the meetings if parents requested upon the requirements for students.
  • Participate in co-curriculum activities, school duty covers, and events as and when necessary.

Your main areas of responsibility will fall under the areas:

  • Operational (A range of other tasks to support the day-to-day operations of the classroom such as preparing learning resources).
  • Support behavior by implementing a combination of proactive and reactive techniques such as rapport building, low-key responses, and proximity.
  • Demonstrating, supervising, and participating in activities that enhance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children in schools and preschool centers.
  • Student outcomes (including ensuring the effective operation of target setting, monitoring and evaluation systems, and the input and maintenance of accurate student data)
  • Teaching and an outstanding role model
  • Relations with School Leadership Team, parents, and colleagues.

Job Requirements

Skills and Experiences Required:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree, in education or a relevant field is preferred
  • Solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices
  • Hold relevant qualifications such as Early Childhood Care and Development Certificate, TEFL, and/or TESOL preferable.
  • Have a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role (preferably in an international school environment), working with the same age group
  • Have knowledge of current curriculum developments in the subject and their implications
  • Show a good understanding of how children learn and how to raise standards of achievement
  • Good motivation and initiation to help the children to relate their problems and get them solved
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English as well as in Myanmar
  • Have great knowledge and understanding of current educational philosophy
  • Be a strong team player, initiative, and motivated.
  • Be able to build and sustain professional standards and relationships with students
  • Be able to contribute towards creating a safe and protective environment
