ROLE PURPOSE

Yoma Bank’s Products, Services, and Channels Division is responsible for developing and managing the bank’s financial services products, services and digital channels. We are inspired by building financial services that put our customers at the center.

Our Transaction Banking Team will deliver and manage a relevant and innovative suite of payments products and services for our customers. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager for a 6-month contract who will lead priority projects focused on developing and delivering payments products and services. Essential skills for this role are proven ability to deliver high-quality work, be self-motivated, work well independently as well as collaborating across functions, strong analytical and problem-solving ability, solid verbal and written communication skills (in Myanmar and English), and strong project management discipline and drive to get things done.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the lead Product Manager on high-priority cross-function project to define and deliver a comprehensive bill presentment and bill payments solution, as well as other innovative personal and business payments products and services.
  • Work w/ Head of Transaction Banking to evaluate the implications of Myanmar’s National Payments System Strategy and expected Real-Time Retail Payments system on Yoma Bank’s payments strategy and priorities. 
  • Develop product management processes that include capturing new product/service/enhancement requests, prioritization framework, and portfolio and delivery tracking approach.
  • Be exceptional at working collaboratively across teams and functions and effectively engaging and managing stakeholder, including team members from Design & Customer Experience, Digital Channels, Customer Division, Finance, Operations, Technology, Marketing, Risk, Legal and Compliance, and others.
  • Conduct high-quality data-driven analysis to drive well-informed product decisions. 
  • Deliver effective, clear, and well-written presentations, business cases, concept papers, and other artifacts for senior audiences, including Executive Management.
  • Excellent project management skills that ensure timely delivery on commitments.
  • Consistently drive towards achieving key performance indicators and targets.
  • Collect and provide insights into the market landscape, show curiosity by seeking out market and customer insights, and be able to translate these into product opportunities.
  • Keep Head of Transaction Banking and other stakeholders well-informed of project progress, issues, risks, and product performance.
  • Be a passionate advocate for payments products and services, including cash and digital.

Education & Special Training

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Solid functional knowledge of payments products, including cash and digital payments, including latest innovations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to quickly gather, analyze and synthesize information.
  • Superior written and verbal presentation skills targeted to each audience.
  • Experience in translating customer needs to product features and business requirements.
  • Detail-oriented and a motivated self-starter with ability to perform tasks with limited guidance and in an efficient and timely manner as an individual and in a team environment
  • Works very effectively across functional areas.
  • Strong project management skills, including ability to manage various tasks simultaneously and work under tight deadlines, with little guidance while delivering high quality products.
  • Action-oriented can-do attitude, willingness to learn and listen, and strong drive to get things done.

Desirable

  • Management consulting experience.
  • Business management education background.

  • 3-5+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, or product management.

Languages

Essential

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Myanmar and English, with ability to express ideas in a clear and concise manner to different audiences.
