Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

The product owner will play an important role in contributing to the timely delivery of the payment products and services that our customers love. He/She will manage the entire product cycle, from design, implementation, and business as usual operating rhythm of the payment products and services. He/she will do this in close collaboration with other members of the Products, Services and Channels Division and will also work very closely with our Business, Technology, MarCom and Operations counterparts.

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle management by understanding the market landscape and business opportunities
  • Be a passionate advocate for payment & transactional products and services, including QR Payments, Card Payments, Payroll, ATM, Cash, Foreign Exchange, Remittance and Digital
  • Perform analysis and provide data-informed input into the product roadmap and pricing strategy with business cases
  • Coordinate with stakeholders from business, technology, and operations to deliver the products into the market successfully
  • Engage with external customers to understand the pain points and enhance the product features to deliver values to the customers
  • Show the curiosity by seeking out the customer insights which can be translated into functional requirements and consistent learning of the changes in the digital payment landscape
  • Consistently drive towards achieving key performance indicators and targets
  • Lead product related team members and ensure delivery of work in accordance with Business Unit strategy
  • Build and manage effective relationships with functional teams and other Business Units

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or Engineering or Management
  • Professional certificate in scrum, agile, product management
  • Experience in execution of product creation functions and roles
  • Knowledge and experience in banking or other financial services organizations and deep understanding of payment landscape
  • Knowledge and experience in IT Application/Solution Development and Delivery
  • Understanding of Organizational risk including credit, compliance and operational risk and the ability to create mitigants
  • Ability to translate customer needs into products or designs and identify opportunities for additional value-added services
  • Ability to create a roadmap and articulate customer outcome delivery within a timeframe 
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and to articulate business - and functional-requirements within a project team
  • Experience in the product development and management of mobile banking and mobile wallets
  • Must be excellent in Microsoft Office
  • Jira/Confluence
  • Scrum and agile methodologies
  • Professional proficiency in both Myanmar and English
