Role summary:
• Production Operator is a 2-shift work operations. Associates must be willing and able to work rotating and/or non-standard work shifts, including evenings, overnight, holidays, and weekends.
• Production Operator provides continuous onsite and remote monitoring of the Network Operations Center, Data Centers.
Responsibilities:
1) Job Scheduling & Problem Recovery
• Ensure all jobs run in a timely manner, perform troubleshooting and follow established escalation procedures.
• Initiate and monitor tasks related to daily run sheets, and job processing schedules.
• Initiate and monitor ad-hoc job runs (e.g. change of policy owner)
• Perform and monitor physical and virtual backup processes. Execute off site media processes, when applicable.
• Perform user provisioning and de-provisioning tasks, per approved requests.
• Perform escalation to the 1st line support of production job abend and provide batch job recovery within the stated Service Level timeframe before escalating to next level.
• To work on staggered shifts through the nights and weekend to advise and initiate recovery action during production a bends, and follow-up to close problem; initiate recovery action when job stream analysis indicates inaccurate or incomplete processing.
2) Monitoring of Batch and Online jobs
• Daily monitoring and management of batch and online jobs for both UAT and Production. Ensure failed jobs are logged in and investigated and followed up.
• Ensures completion of all jobs/boxes from previous day cycle and any pending issues, activities are handed over to next PC in shift
• Analyze the behavior of daily batch, duration statistics and identify performance issues
• Ensure production and UAT batches are executed on time and issues/failure escalated without delay so as to meet the SLA.
3) Support DR drill
• System startup and verification, to ensure all systems, machines (Autosys, Control-M, Schedulix, etc) are accessible upon startup
• If batch run is required, PC will setup batch as normal and make sure to manage accordingly with the Application Supports
4) Other daily tasks and user requests
• Filing and distribution of daily reports generated by the system
• Ensuring that daily batch checklists are all completed and filed
• Preparation of monthly reporting
• Analyze daily batch reports for trends and escalate findings to application/infrastructure teams in order to improve batch timings.
• Work on Incident tickets assigned by Production Controller team
5) Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.

6) Assist Production Control in preparing shift roster.
7) Update monthly job schedule based on pre-defined users, bank and application cycles/calendars.
