II. Position Purpose
The Project Manager role is responsible for translating strategic ideas into realistic projects that can be planned, executed and monitored within the agreed budget, scope and delivery schedule, whilst keeping tight control over the associated risks, issues and dependencies across the board. In essence, the Project Manager owns the primary responsibility for the successful delivery of projects for the Business. The portfolio of projects managed by the PMO consists of a blended mix of new business deliveries and new technology implementation, both aimed at achieving growth targets, systems stability and/or compliance. Within this context, the role holder is expected to mobilize and manage multiple Small/Medium end to end projects, according to the company’s project governance methodology.
Essential for this role are:
1. Excellent English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening);
2. Strong Leadership coupled with Presentation skills that enable clear communication to all Stakeholders;
3. Analytical skills and ability to identify project dependencies and critical paths across multiple projects and initiatives;
4. Excellent use of MS Project;
5. Ability to perform under pressure and work on multiple tasks simultaneously, whilst keeping the focus on quality and timely results;
6. Ability to get things done in a quick-paced environment;
7. Strong Risks and Issues Management Skills including Risk Mitigation planning/execution, Risk Avoidance Planning and Issue Resolution.

III. Key Result Areas
• Effective delivery of enterprise wide projects within time and cost, according to the desired business outcome;

IV. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Accurately capture and verify Business requirements, project scope and define associated project plans required to achieve the desired Business outcome;
• Translate a strategic idea into a well designed project that can be planned, organized, tracked and delivered;
• Establishing and managing cross-functional project teams engaged throughout the full delivery lifecycle;
• Proactively liaise with all cross-functional areas on both functional and non-functional aspects of project delivery to ensure that risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies of the project are identified, reported on, and escalated via appropriate project governance where needed;
• Ensuring that any changes to scope, cost and/or schedule are identified, assessed, and then approved or rejected following the appropriate governance requirements;
• Ensuring that the planned outputs deliver the agreed outcomes, and that the outcomes remain relevant to the Business;
• Producing regular project status reports that are current, accurate, comprehensive, and appropriately stored;

• Timely delivery of enterprise projects and programmes, with quality and within budget;
• Resilience to work well under pressure and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously;
• Proactive work attitude, ability to identify issues and formulate recommendations and solutions;

• Internal – All levels of the Company from top to bottom, across every department as required.
• External – Vendors, Suppliers, Partners.

Job Requirements

VII. Competencies
• Excellent English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening);
• Ability to facilitate and/or make complex decisions based on experience, analysis and judgement;
• Experience in coordinating and/or managing project costs and budgets;
• Excellent use of MS Project, particularly network diagrams and critical paths;
• Ability to prioritize and work on a diverse range of activities simultaneously, never losing the focus into requirements and effective delivery;


VIII. Experience, Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas
• Minimum 5 years directly managing end to end projects, preferably for Financial Services, Technology or FinTech environments, with proven track record of success;
• Hands on experience establishing and managing enterprise-wide technology projects from the ground up;
• Expert in developing effective work relationships with key Stakeholders, both internal and external across any level of the organization;
