Manage and supervise day to day purchasing, stock orders and make sure purchasing department runs smoothly and effectively.
Develop and execute purchasing strategies and promotional plans.
Have product knowledge, market trends, pricing, competitor information
Suggest ideas of product purchase and display
Foresee future market trends, sellable and profitable products.
Negotiate with vendors/suppliers to get the best quality products with the best prices
Maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure high quality products and delivery on time.
Make sure all the stock orders from operation can get in time, sufficient and delivered.
Review slow moving and fast-moving items to analyze sales by categories.
Review vendors performance regularly especially for stocks available, delivery, prices, and payments.
Prepare and record updated list of vendors, purchased products, agreements, and information monthly.
Cooperate with operation and warehouse if stocks need to be kept in advance especially for normal and seasonal promotions.
Create disciplines, control and guidelines to prevent bias and corruption.
Make regular market surveys and competitor’s analysis such as new products, pricing, promotions, and activities.
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and yearly sales reports and submit them to the management.
Attend regular monthly meetings and present the situations of vendors, products and prices.
Attend trade shows and exhibitions to get more product sourcing and vendors.
Look for suitable products via online and offline channels.
Able to use purchasing software accordingly to create PR and PO
Lead category management meeting
Organize Meetings
- Weekly meeting with section heads and supervisors
- Monthly meeting with Top 10-20 suppliers monthly
- Monthly meeting with the management and Hypermarket Manager, supervisors for Category Management, product feedback and others.

Job Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree
Must have worked in a management position (Team Leader, Department Head, Manager, etc.)
Must have over 5 years of experience in Purchasing
Must be familiar with Purchasing Software
Should have Suppliers List
Negotiations Skills,
Communications Skills,
Management/Leadership Skills,
Decision-Making Skills,
English 4 Skills
Proficiency in Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet & Email).
