Job Description

  • The Quality Assurance and Quality Control Management System is implemented and reported to senior management accordingly;
  • Lead, motivate and mentor all members of RJE to follow and apply the use of the Management Systems;
  • The company’s Quality and Safety objectives are identified and communicated throughout the company;
  • Oversee the Document Control functions within the company;
  • Ensure compliance and accreditation with third party systems and third-party auditors;
  • Ensure compliance with tender packages that are submitted in regards to management systems;
  • Determine and report to the Managing Director on the level of effort required to meet company objectives;
  • Develop and implement programs and procedures for review to eliminate or minimise non-conformities;
  • Report the performance of the Quality & WHS Management System to the remainder of the management team as a basis for continual improvement;
  • Ensure quality audits are conducted at least annually and that an audit schedule is in place;
  • Support project teams in the delivery of handover documentation;
  • Work with the Project Managers to ensure all testing documentation including Inspection Test Plans are put in place and completed progressively throughout the life of the project;
  • Ensure quality records are maintained;
  • Manage compilation of handover packages at the completion of projects;
  • Keep all procedures and the Integrated Manual updated;
  • Represent RJE in all internal, external and client audits;
  • Audit subcontractors that are engaged by RJE;
  • Provide regular monthly reports to Senior Management on progress and QA/QC functions;
  • Carry out inspection and check for all quality-related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan;
  • Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and Site In-charge for inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of the Non-Compliance Report.
  • Development and maintenance of the Quality System and PQP, incl. ensuring that project-specific quality plans are developed.
  • Championing all Quality related issues in the organization and is the interface between Site Teams and Corporate Office.
  • Promote and cultivate a culture to develop and maintain an attitude towards continuing quality improvements and customer satisfaction in the Company.
  • Identify priorities for quality assurance improvement, establish metrics and lead the development and implementation of quality standards.
  • Support management in all aspects of Quality, acceptance of work and turnover undertaken by construction operations and ensure that the content and objectives of company’s Quality Management Manual and project procedures are implemented and understood by project staff.
  • Support project operations by reviewing individual project workmanship, conducting field inspections and reporting findings to projects and management.
  • Liaise with project sites and departments to ensure compliance of quality requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits of the field construction quality control process, incl. issuance of reports to highlight areas of non-conformity and recommends corrective/ preventive actions.
  • Ensure that the QC procedures are implemented on projects. This will be achieved through auditing and reporting on applicable sections of the Plan and other referenced documents.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electrical Power or Electronics
  • A minimum of 8+ years post qualification experience in a similar role
  • Strong Technical knowledge & skills
  • Good English speaking and writing skills
  • General working knowledge in all required Technical skills, particularly quality assurance
  • Knowledge of all MS software packages such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS project essential.
  • Good team-work player with sense responsibility
