Key Roles and Responsibilities

Role summary:

• The role is required to manage the application changes agreed by the Change Management Board to ensure that the appropriate processes & controls are followed before the changes are migrated for UAT as well as introduced in our production environment.
• In order to perform these tasks effectively, the role is expected to monitor the business requests for system changes & put them through the required processes of testing & due diligence. This is especially so for those mission-critical systems in UAT & production environments.
• The role holder would therefore need to work especially with the BCP team for an alignment on the business requirements and facilitate user test planning to ensure that solutions developed matches that stated in the requirements.
• The role is expected to be part of the shared services supporting both KBZ MS and KBZ Life.

Responsibilities:

• Change Management Finalization:

• Collate the inventory of change requests which are requested by the business community & put these through the rigorous process of business justification, effort estimation & approvals.
• Work collaboratively with the BAs to understand the business scope clearly related to the agreed changes.

• Business Testing:
  • Reviews business scenario and test scripting in ensuring they are in line with the business requirements. Conducts the review sessions with the users when required to ensure acceptance and signed off by users
  • Validate the test plans and ensure the completeness of the test scenarios
  • Prepares the business scenario and test scripting
  • Conduct business test and documents test results
  • User Acceptance Testing:
  • Works closely with the end-users in conducting comprehensive user acceptance testing to ensure that the delivered product matches the stated users requirements spec
  • Guides the end-users on system changes and conduct training to the team (train the trainer concept)
  • Logs the defect tickets into the Defect Tracking System & assist to re-check fixed defects to ensure that those reported issues have been addressed
  • Conduct User Training:
  • As new users are introduced into the work force (including new users recruited as part of the new branches implementation), the role is expected to work with the business users to perform system training for these users.
  • Administrative Tasks:
  • The role would be expected to perform occasional administrative tasks which would be assigned by the Team Leader as required.

Experience:

• Some understanding on change management process would be an added advantage
• Some tester experience within the financial services industry is essential & would be an added advantage

Competencies:

• Articulate and proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to have good understanding of end-to-end processes
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to manage users’ expectations and explain details in layman’s terms
• Ability to work well under pressure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor in business-related course. Degree holders of Insurance Studies, Information Technology & Business Technology would be relevant
