On behalf of our client, a well-known construction consultancy, we are looking for a Quantity Survey Team-Leader to be based at their offices in Yangon, Myanmar.
 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect/project team and/or the client.
  • Undertakes costs analysis for design and project work, including undertaking value engineering where required.
  • Undertakes feasibility studies based upon the client requirements.
  • Identifies, analyses, and develops responses to commercial risks.
  • Prepares tender documents, analyses tender responses, makes recommendations to clients regarding contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Negotiates and finalizes contractual terms.
  • Provides advice on contractual claims.
  • Analyses outcomes and writes detailed progress reports including updating project cost plans and cash flow forecasts monthly.
  • Values completed work, reviews contractor payment claims, certifies as per actual progress, and arranges appropriate payments with Client.
  • Reviews and negotiates change orders with contractors.
  • Negotiates final settlements with contractors at end of project and prepares final cost report for Client.

Job Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of over 5 Years Post Graduate Experience.
  • Previous experience working within an architectural design company.
  • Experience in running tendering processes for project management and/or architectural/engineering design consulting.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, bills of quantities.
  • Intermediate time management skills with the ability to self-manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate knowledge of software programs for commercial requirements.
  • Intermediate organizational skills with the ability to follow efficient and transparent tendering processes.
  • Intermediate negotiation skills with the ability to negotiate payments and change orders with contractors.
  • Intermediate written and spoken communication skills.
  • Intermediate ability to assess tendering bids for value, cost, and quality
