Assistant Manager, Radio Network & Planning Engineer

As a Radio Network Planning & Optimization Engineer, you will be reporting to Head of Radio Planning & Optimization and accountable for capacity &coverage planning and optimization tasks for the radio network of assigned regions.

Main Tasks:

• To perform GSM, WCDMA and LTE Radio network planning & optimization tasks using solid RF Engineering and RF Planning & Optimization Principles.
• To Evaluate and adapt new methods and technologies regarding Radio Network Optimization, Features, Trials & Tuning.
• To conduct site surveys and select BTS/Node-B/ eNode-B sites, co-plan with GSM BTS and produce Site survey Reports & RF Design Report.
• To validate and approve candidates through site survey reports produced by outsource companies and re-planning the rejected sites.
• To perform efficient frequency/scrambling code planning, HSN, BSIC and neighboring list to minimize interference.
• To perform the tasks/activities regarding capacity & coverage planning, RF configuration & detail design of GSM, WCDMA and LTE system

• To be involved in preparing the planning process for the workflow, weekly reports, templates, tracking database and time schedule in order to achieve company’s target and standard.

• To review and analyze GSM, WCDMA and LTE coverage prediction plots, SSV report, driving test report in order to provide necessary inputs/changes for optimization.

Requirement:

• You will be required to have Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering / Telecommunications with minimum 5 years of experience in Radio Network Planning & Optimization area.
• You must have excellent understanding of GSM/WCDMA/LTE Radio Network Planning, Cell Planning and RF Engineering & Optimization.
• You need to have in-depth knowledge/Efficiency in using Map Info, RF Planning tools (Mentum Planet, etc.…), drive test tools (TEMS, AZQ, etc.…).
• Also, you will be required to have good understanding of the relevant regulatory, legal and other contextual factors impacting on the successful management of network projects.

• Highly developed communication and reporting skills (verbal and written) in both of Local & English.
